In 1980, several years after becoming involved in the heating and air conditioning industry John Ferrara decided it was time he formed him own business to service the Metro Detroit Downriver area. The primary focus was on repair and replacement of residential heating and air conditioning systems. In the 80’s may homes were having their first central air conditioning system installed and J. Ferrara Heating & Air Conditioning was there to provide the expertise to provide an efficient, well designed system for the homeowner.
As the 1990’s came around, John saw the need to provide his customers with not only heating and air conditioning but many were asking for plumbing and electrical service. See the customer need, J. Ferrara Heating & Air Conditioning merged with Home Service Corp. to fully service the areas needs in all three disciplines which they still do today.
Now called Home Service Corp., they continue to service the area including Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Monroe counties. HSC has been a partner with MichCon (now DTE Energy), and Consumers Energy since the nineteen-nineties. They have also partnered with the leading home warranty companies to provide service to new homeowners.
Today Home Service has over 20 employees and remains a family owned and operated business. They are fully licensed in each area they service and have won many awards from Bryant for outstanding customer service, system knowledge and design.
